Timpi started in 2017 when founder Steph left her city job and set up as a solo VA. Building the business from the ground up (with no business partner or safety net!) gave her a rare, ground-level understanding of what clients actually need and what makes a great VA. That insight is baked into everything Timpi does.

Steph Sheargold launched Timpi in 2017 after leaving a career in the city. Having built the business entirely on her own (whilst also navigating the ups and downs of her family’s piano business), she knows first-hand what it’s like to wear every hat at once. That experience gave her a deep empathy for the clients she now serves, and a clear sense of what exceptional support should look like. Today, Steph leads a team of hand-picked VAs and client managers who share the same commitment: making life easier for the people they work with.
Every Timpi VA brings a minimum of 5 years’ experience as an executive assistant or in a senior administrative role, plus at least one year working specifically as a virtual assistant. But, experience alone isn’t enough. Our recruitment process includes skills testing, a one-minute video, two verified references and two rounds of interviews – the final one with Steph herself. And, once selected, we invest in them properly. Happy VAs mean happy clients. It really is that simple.
